Dr. Adrian Santamaria
Dr. Adrian Santamaria is an established board certified Neurologist and Sleep Specialist (Neurosomnologist). His pre-medical training was completed at the University of Houston in 1997. Dr. Santamaria then received his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Houston in 2003. He completed his Neurology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston (UTMB) in 2007. While studying at UTMB, Dr. Santamaria became interested in the interface of Neurology and Sleep Medicine. In 2008, he completed his Sleep Medicine Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He became Board Certified in Neurology in 2008 and Board Certified in Sleep Medicine in 2009 by the American Academy of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
After completing his Sleep Medicine fellowship in 2008, Dr. Santamaria joined the private practice, Northwest Houston Neurology. The practice is centrally located to residents of the North Houston Area. His goal was to bring cutting edge Sleep Medicine and Neurology services to the area. His pleasant demeanor, sociable nature, and unique insight make him an asset to the local medical community. Dr. Santamaria is well known for his outgoing personality and his natural ability to connect with patients on a personal level while providing high quality professional care.
Dr. Santamaria has extensive training in all areas of neurology, He is a current member of multiple organizations including the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), American Neurological Association (ANA), Academy of Sleep Medicine (ASM), American Medical Association (AMA), and the Texas Neurological Society. He currently serves as the medical director for the Tomball Regional Hospital Stroke Program and is involved in other clinical research projects.
Dr. Santamaria is happily married and is a proud father of three beautiful children. When he is not caring for his patients, he enjoys spending time with his family.
